On Thursday 7th June, Law firms across the country took to the streets to raise money for the Eastern Legal Support Trust. Teams gathered outside the forum on Thursday evening before walking 10 kilometres around Norwich.
Fosters was pleased to enter a large team from across the whole firm, with the team raising £567.65 in sponsorship before the walk. The team was thrilled to also be the first group to complete the walk.
The Legal Walk was arranged by the Legal Support Trust to raise funds for free legal advice charities which help those most in need. The money helps elderly people who need support to remain living independently; people who suffer disability or illness and their carers; families living in terrible housing conditions; people who have been unfairly dismissed or who are discriminated against at work; adults and children who have been trafficked to the UK to become domestic or sex slaves; men and women who are working for less than minimum wage.
The Team raised £567.65 which is a fantastic amount, it is always good to be reminded that the funds raised on The Legal Walk go to small organisations offering free legal advice, such as the Norfolk Community Law service, and so a worthy cause for those in need.
