Fosters Solicitors strengthens company Commercial department
Thu, 29th July 2010 at 10:02 by Andrea Smith

Fosters are delighted to announce the appointment of Robert Pyke, formerly of Rogers and Norton, as a partner in its Company Commercial department.

Dealing with all elements of commercial property transactions including acting for both landlords and tenants, investors and owner occupiers of commercial premises, he has acted for a substantial number of developer clients in respect of both residential and commercial sites, including their acquisition, development and disposal.

Mr Pyke said: "I am delighted to join Fosters as a Partner to head up its Commercial Property team. I look forward to working with the partners of the firm, in particular, Tracy Guest, of the Company and Commercial department. I shall be working alongside Rachel Appleton to further raise the profile of Fosters Commercial Property team within the East Anglian business community.

"Having practised in this area of work for more than ten years, I have gained considerable experience and knowledge of the local market. I have also worked closely with many professionals in Norfolk and Suffolk and will continue to build these relationships for the benefit of all of our clients."

He added: "The commercial property market has been very tough over the last couple of years but the recovery seems to have started. With the election and the recent budget announcement behind us there is good reason to hope for renewed stability. With that in mind, I think we have an excellent opportunity to grow the department in the region."

Commenting on the appointment, Fosters Managing Partner, Andrew Saul, said:

"We are very pleased to welcome Robert to Fosters to further strengthen and build on our existing commercial team. He has an excellent reputation as a knowledgeable lawyer who also has real empathy with his clients."

Fosters currently employs more than 100 staff across seven offices in East Anglia. The firm, which is the longest established law firm in Norwich, will celebrate its 250th birthday next year.
