Fosters Solicitors' Wills, Trust and Probate Department is pleased to confirm that as a result of its involvement with the “Will Aid 2009 Campaign” donations totalling £1,420.00 have been sent to Will Aid for distribution among their nominated charities.
Fosters’ involvement with Will Aid goes back a number of years but this figure represents the largest donation made to date.
All monies raised are donated to charity. Fosters’ staff time is given entirely free of charge.
Nationally the Campaign has, for the first time, raised over £1 million in donations.
Commenting on the local Campaign Trina Worden, Deputy Head of Fosters' Wills, Trust and Probate Department said:
“Fosters' Wills, Trust and Probate Department was very pleased to take part in Will Aid 2009 and to be able to help raise such a significant sum of money. I understand that, nationally, those who made Wills under this scheme left over £5 million in legacies to various charities. Whilst the importance of making a Will cannot be underestimated, it is also nice for our clients to be able to feel they have made a real difference to vulnerable and disadvantaged people”.
