 |
| Many firms shy away from
talking about costs, but we believe in being as transparent
as possible. |
 |
| How our Costs are
Calculated |
| All our lawyers work
on an hourly rate which is set according to their level
of skill and experience. For litigation work, it is
usually in line with the local Court rate. |
 |
| The rate is set out in
our first letter when we start work and this also gives
details of the likely overall costs and who to speak
to if you are unhappy with the service you receive. |
 |
| Routine letters and telephone
calls are charged at one tenth of the hourly rate. Time
spent meeting with you and others, drafting documents
or appearing on your behalf in Court is calculated on
a pro-rata hourly basis. |
 |
| Paying Us |
| We will send you a bill
each month which is payable within 14 days. After that
it attracts interest at 2% per month. |
 |
| We accept payment by cheque,
cash (to a maximum of £500.00) and debit cards.
|
 |
| Public Funding (Legal
Aid) |
| If we act for you under
a public funding certificate, we will not send you a bill
but you may still be liable for some cost. Please refer
to our Public
Funding section for further details. |
