My NCFC Moment: David Gabell

Reading (H) | 10/04/19 | Championship | 2 - 2 | Godfrey 86, Zimmermann 88

Your Legal Expert: David Gabell, Medical Negligence

"This was to be my daughter Ruby's first NCFC game. Ruby and her younger sister are both football mad, and play for the NCFC Player Development Programme. Ruby is a Defender and prior to the game she had spent the day researching the players, their history, stats and favoured positions. When the team sheet was published before the game she had already decided her favourite players for that game would be Ben Godfrey and Christoph Zimmermann - the two centre backs.

"Reading were on the backfoot and Pukki was causing them all sorts of problems in the ?rst half. Against the run of play, Reading were 0-1 up at half time. To Ruby's delight it was her defensive duo that triggered the comeback. Godfrey scored a 'worldy' from outside the box in the 86th minute and then Zimmermann netted a header in the 88th minute. Ruby was absolutely buzzing. It didn't matter that Reading snuck in an equaliser in the 90th minute, because Ruby was reassured that Defenders can be game changers too!"
