We have been part of our thriving local community for over 260 years, and through our staff, clients and partners value the importance and passion for supporting people and initiatives that make our community network what it is.
Throughout the year, we host a calendar of events to help raise awareness and funds for charities and good causes, and to support the well-being of our colleagues and community partners.
Our charity partner
We are delighted to be partnering with local mental health charity, Norfolk and Waveney Mind as our official charity for 2022.

Charity of the year 2020-21
We were delighted to witness and support the work of Lowestoft-based charity, Access Community Trust, as our charity of the year for 2020-21.
Unfortunately due to the Coronavirus pandemic we were unable to hold many of the staff events which would form our usual fundraising efforts during a year. Therefore we extended our support across 2021 too, and were delighted to be able to visit the charity’s office to deliver both a cheque and some additional gifts ahead a busy Christmas period for the organisation.
The charity does some amazing work in supporting vulnerable people across Norfolk and Suffolk – also providing additional support throughout the pandemic. To find out more about the work of Access Community Trust please visit their website via the link below.

Community Heroes
Since 2019 we have joined our partners Norwich City Football Club in highlighting the great work of local individuals and organisations in our community.
Every month during the football season, a ‘Community Hero’ is chosen for a selected matchday – providing an opportunity to showcase that person(s) or initiatives selfless work or important community campaign.
Previous Community Heroes have included young carers, veterans, equality campaigners, charity fundraisers and their beneficiaries.

Carer Friendly Tick Award
Back in May 2020, Fosters were delighted to become the first Norfolk company to receive the ‘Carer Friendly Tick Award – Employer’ in recognition of our policies and initiatives to help support colleagues who are family carers.
The award was given by Caring Together, a network partner of Carers Trust, who provide services and support for carers and their families across the eastern counties, including Norfolk.
We have been delighted to work with them to raise awareness of family carers and the support available to them.
