Established in 1761, both the firm and its people have lived and served through some significant historical events.

The firm was delighted to be named Best Regional Probate Law Firm at The Probate Industry Awards 2024.

We were delighted to have been a finalist at the 2024 British Conveyancing Awards.

We were proud winners of the Award for Business Development at the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2023.

The firm was recognised for its innovative partnership approach for further business development.

We were shortlisted in the categories, Client Care Award (26+ employees) and for the Marketing & Communication Strategy of the Year.

We were delighted to have been confirmed as a finalist at the 2022 Norfolk Business Awards, in the award category of Customer Excellence.

For over 30 years The Legal 500 has been annually analysing the capabilities of law firms across the world – assessing their strengths in over 150 jurisdictions and producing rankings based upon research using feedback from 300,000 clients worldwide, submissions from law firms and interviews with leading private practice lawyers.

In The Legal 500 UK 2024, Fosters are listed in 14 practice categories, and have a number of lawyers highlighted for special mention – including as Leading Individuals, Next Generation Partners and Rising Stars.

Lexcel is a nationally accredited award of excellence in legal practice, awarded by The Law Society to firms who meet a very exacting criteria and can demonstrate exceptional client care, support and development of their staff and the effective management of risk throughout the organisation.

Fosters’ first audit took place in February 2014 and we are proud to continue to be Lexcel accredited. As part of the annual process an auditor meets with a number of our staff across all branches, undertakes a review of both opened and closed files, reviews our central working documents and our approach to client care.

In 2020 Fosters were delighted to be awarded the national Customer Service Excellence Quality Mark for the first time. The Cabinet Office endorsed accreditation seeks to reward organisations that have a truly customer-focused commitment, while providing a positive steer for customer-centred change.

Certification required the firm to be successfully assessed against five criteria, highlighting how they focus on the individual needs and preferences of their service users. The criteria headings are customer insight, the culture of the organisation, information and access, delivery and timeliness and quality of service.

In May 2020 Fosters became the first Norfolk company to receive the ‘Carer Friendly Tick Award – Employer’ in recognition of their support for colleagues who are family carers.

The award is given by Caring Together, a network partner of Carers Trust, who provide services and support for carers and their families across the eastern counties, including Norfolk. It aims to encourage and highlight businesses with good practices to support their staff who are balancing both a career and caring responsibilities.

In 2019 Fosters Solicitors was awarded the top prize at the Law Society’s Excellence Awards – the highest accolade for law firms in England and Wales.

The firm was announced as the winner of Excellence in Business Development category and was the only firm in East Anglia to achieve success at the event.
