Community and Event News: April 2024

Throughout the year, Fosters Solicitors hosts and attends a variety of events in association with our business and community partners, as well as undertaking activities to support the well-being of our colleagues and our wider local community network.

With activities in full Spring swing, here’s what the firm got up to in April.

Igniting the skills spark

Our Wills, Trusts & Probate colleagues, Lisa Glynne and Jordan Rodwell, headed to Lowestoft for a Business lunch hosted by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. There they heard from a variety of guest speakers about employee experience and developing future skills.

Little Fox Charity Ball

Our Charity of the Year, Finnbar’s Force, held their first ever fundraising ball at Dunston Hall.

We were delighted to attend and see the event raise over £13,000 for their great work in supporting families and spreading awareness around childhood cancer.

Award Winners

Huge congratulations go to our Wills, Trusts & Probate team upon the news that we have been awarded Best Probate Law Firm: Regional at The Probate Industry Awards 2024.

The awards ceremony at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London, recognised and celebrated excellence in the probate industry and was attended by professionals and organisations from across the country and sector.

Head of Wills, Trusts & Probate at Fosters Solicitors, Lisa Glynne, alongside our Trusts specialist, Lauren Crosby, attended the event and collected the award on behalf of the firm.

St George's Day

As is traditional in Wymondham, our Middleton Street branch joined other businesses and organisations in the town by flying the St George’s flag to commemorate the national day of England.

Grassroots Hero winner announcement

We were delighted to confirm Matt Ankers of Norton Athletic as the winner of this year’s Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination Grassroots Hero Award.

This is the second year that alongside our partners, the Anglian Combination Football League, we invited their 94 teams from across Norfolk and Suffolk to nominate someone who regularly goes above and beyond for their grassroots club.

Veteran marathon walker recognised

Our Fosters Solicitors Community Hero for Norwich City’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Swansea City was former soldier Del Sullivan.

Del walked 26 miles around Norwich every day for 10 days and finished his 10th marathon at Carrow Road ahead of the Canaries’ home game against the Swans.
