David Gabell ranked as an ‘Associate to Watch’

We are delighted to confirm that Fosters’ Associate David Gabell has been ranked in the latest Chambers and Partners listings.

David is noted as an ‘Associate to watch’ within the category ‘Clinical Negligence: Mainly Claimant – Norwich and Surrounds’ – and joins our Crime department in the 2021 published rankings.

This news follows David also being listed as a ‘Rising Star’ in The Legal 500 UK 2021 for his work and specialism in medical negligence.

Commenting on his ranking, David said: “It is an absolute pleasure to be recognised for being a specialist in this complex yet fascinating area of the law. To be ranked by Chambers and Partners it is a real badge of honour and one I am proud to have achieved.”

Congratulating David on this recognition, Fosters’ Head of Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Inquests Steve Green added: “Since he joined Fosters less than three years ago David has gained a reputation for leaving no stone unturned in his efforts to gain the best results for his clients. The fact that his practice has grown year on year is testimony to his single-minded dedication to his work.”

In both listings, practice areas and lawyers are independently reviewed with regards to service and feedback, including through client testimonials. We have been thrilled to recently receive this client feedback regarding our medical negligence team.

Client A – “It would be remiss of me not to mention the fact that everyone who I have had contact with at Fosters have always been efficient and courteous, but I must give David Gabell a very special mention.

“From the outset his expertise and professionalism has been second to non, but he has shown more than that. He has always been understanding and empathetic and a very good listener. Within the constraints of a no win no fee system there have been many ups and downs but when David did not agree with me he would always explain why from the legal perspective in great detail, which helped me to understand and then move on.

“A financial settlement is of course always to be welcomed, but as important to me is the fact that from a starting point of there being no acceptance of liability on their part, but the fact that they now have – and the outcome that David has achieved has helped me significantly to know that the difficult decision that I had taken to seek legal advice was the right one. I am and will always be very grateful to him.”

Client B – “I do wish to highlight the fact that your company’s approach to dealing with prospective clients is way ahead of what I initially experienced with the more national companies, who with no knowledge of Fosters I had approached first, but their system was quite inferior to Fosters in that you were not given the opportunity to speak to a solicitor unlike your company – who after the briefest of explanation of my situation David Gabell then telephoned me within the hour and an appointment was subsequently made, and due to my sight loss he even offered, although not taken up, to visit my home.”
