Fosters host law student insight event

Ahead of the 2023 trainee recruitment programme and summer vacation scheme, Fosters recently hosted an entertaining informal event for undergraduates, one that offered some real insight into a career in law and a snapshot of life inside a busy regional law firm.

The event saw 25 students from the University of East Anglia Law School join us at our Norwich Bank Plain office, where they were welcomed by Partner and also Training Principal, Chris Fielding, plus lawyers and trainee solicitors from across the firm including Family, Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Business & Commercial teams.

In rotational groups, they experienced tricky family law case studies, insight talks and Q&A sessions where students put lawyers on the spot and sought advice about the various routes into a career in law.

Partner, Chris Fielding commented: “We continue to develop a really valuable relationship with the UEA law community and so we were delighted to host some of their current undergraduates on our turf which I think our guests found interesting.

It was a great opportunity to answer questions about what a career in law might actually look like for these students, to impart a bit about the culture at Fosters that permeates everything we do, and to discuss the opportunity we offer to aspiring lawyers that we think might equally have a lot to offer us.
