Fosters hosts UEA competition final

We have been delighted to again support the UEA Law Society with their annual Mock Trial Competition.

Colleagues attended the semi final hosted at the University of East Anglia earlier this month, with the competition final then hosted at our Norwich branch last week.

Students participating were provided life-like case scenarios to replicate the courtroom experience, with members of our Litigation and Family teams offering their guidance and judging of the trial rounds.

The finalists this year were given a Family Law scenario, which they had to study, research and then present to ‘the court’ the submission they felt best put forward their fictitious client’s position. They were also given the option to undertake examination-in-chiefs, as well as cross-examinations.

Well done to all the undergraduates involved, with all showing incredibly strong advocacy skills.
