Litigation Team Share Expertise at Eastern Landlords Association Event

Our Litigation and Dispute Resolution solicitors Chris Fielding and Gurpal Singh, who specialise in Property Litigation, have delivered a virtual seminar to the Eastern Landlord Association (ELA) on how the courts are going to resume possession proceedings.

The ELA has been a valued partners of Fosters for a number of years, with the organisation representing tirelessly private residential landlords from its Norwich-based office, with a membership of over 1,400 landlords across the country.

Commenting on the event last week, our solicitor Gurpal Singh said: “Chris and I were delighted to attend the event and support ELA members in answering their questions over possession proceedings at this time post-lockdown. In light of events this year, there were many questions from landlords on navigating through changes in legislation and circumstances resulting from the pandemic, and we were pleased to be able to help.”

Angie Gill of the Eastern Landlords Association commented: “We were really pleased that Chris and Gurpal could join us and provide their expertise and support to our members. We’ve received some really positive feedback from those who took part on how interesting and informative it was, on a subject which is really key at this time for our membership.”

As well as organising and taking part in such events, our Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution Chris Fielding holds a monthly legal surgery with ELA members – providing them with free legal advice on a broad range of matters affecting their properties. ELA members are also entitled to discounts across the range of legal services that Fosters offer, including residential and commercial conveyancing fees.

The next legal surgery for ELA members, which is by phone appointment, is on Wednesday 28th October, between 4pm and 6pm.
