Norwich Courts Open Day

On Thursday 6th April, the Norwich Crown, County and Family Courts at Bishopgate are hosting an open day, providing an opportunity to go behind the scenes and learn about the justice system.

Between 10am and 3pm, a variety of activities are planned, which include mock trials and sentences, presentations about roles within the justice system and on topics such as youth crime and mediation. There will also be a question and answer session with women judges and tours of the cells and the chance to meet a sniffer dog.

Representatives of our Family Law and Crime teams will be there to meet attendees and answer any questions they may have on being a solicitor and representing people within the courts. We will also have some competitions and give-aways on our table.

Key agencies and organisations will also be present, including the police, Crown Prosecution Service, Magistrates, probation, His Majesty’s Prison Service, CAFCASS (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service) and charities working with victims and offenders.

Admission is free. Please note that visitors will have to go through security to enter the court building and no photography is allowed inside.
