Partner recognised for contentious trusts expertise

Chris Fielding

At Fosters Solicitors, we are delighted to announce that Chris Fielding, our partner and head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution, has been recognised for his expertise in the field of contentious trusts and probate.

Chris recently joined the highly regarded Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) as a full member, the principal organisation dedicated to promoting expertise in this niche area of law.

Chris becomes one of few specialists in the region to hold this accolade, making it all the more prestigious.

With over 17 years of experience as a front-line contentious lawyer, Chris has seen his practice develop over recent years towards contentious trusts and probate work (incorporating ‘Inheritance Act’ claims), to the point where he wanted to formalise his expertise in this field.

Commenting on the achievement, Chris said: “I have always thought of ACTAPS as such a robust, unique organisation that raises the bar amongst practitioners. The associate membership course on the path to full membership has been an indispensable source of information in my work, and the organisation as a whole offers first rate practical guidance and support – I’m honoured to join the ranks as a full member.
